Arts in the Heart of Augusta is a 2.5 day celebration of food, art and diversity with over 80,000 visitors and will celebrate its 37th award winning year. Poetry Matters Project will kick off events at Trubadour Stage on Friday night. Poets from as far away as North Carolina, Aiken, Charleston and Augusta will take part in this production by the Greater Augusta Arts Council.
The line-up for Friday evening features winners of the Poetry Matters Lit Prize sponsored by the Aiken High Schools: Cameron Barron, Jasmine Kitchings, Lizzy Kleinauf, and Brandi De Haven. Other featured poets include:
