Since 1934, the Academy of American Poets has been a necessary organization—for more than four generations—and a central place for people who love poetry and literature.
You can help ensure future generations have access to American poetry by pledging to leave a gift to the Academy of American Poets in your estate plans.
Individuals who designate a gift to the Academy of American Poets in their will and inform us of their doing so, become a part of the Marie Bullock Society, named for our founder. This special group of individuals receives mention in our annual report.
If you are looking for bequest language, we recommend the following:
“I give, devise, and bequeath to the Academy of American Poets, 75 Maiden Lane, Suite 901, New York, NY 10038, the sum of $________ (or property described) for its general purposes. Their tax identification number is 13-1879953.”
We also welcome a myriad of planned giving opportunities as outlined here. Please consult with your financial, tax, and legal advisors to help you decide which of these giving opportunities is best for you.
Planned Giving
