Xan Forest Phillips is the author of Hull (Nightboat Books, 2019). He is also a winner of a Whiting Award and the Judith A. Markowitz Award for Emerging LGBTQ Writers. 

A 2019–20 First Wave Poetry Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing and the 2024–2026 Anisfield-Wolf Fellow in Literature and Publishing, Phillips lives in Cleveland, Ohio.
