Logan Phillips
Logan Phillips is a writer, performer, and cultural worker. Born in Tombstone, Arizona, in 1983, he holds an MFA in creative writing from the University of Arizona and completed his undergraduate work at Northern Arizona University.
Phillips is author of the poetry collections Reckon (University of Arizona Press, 2026) and Sonoran Strange (West End Press, 2015). He is also the creator of the ongoing multimedia and performance series NoVoGRAFíAS.
Phillips is known for bilingual readings in English and Spanish and “spoken video” multimedia performance art pieces, which have been featured at festivals in Colombia, Germany, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He has contributed to a wide range of publishing, music, education, and community-centered projects.
Phillips lives in Tucson, where he works as an arts educator and cultural strategist. In 2026, he was appointed poet laureate of Tucson through 2029.
