Jonathan Thirkield
Born and raised in New York City, Jonathan Thirkield is a poet and digital artist. He graduated from Wesleyan University and the University of Iowa’s Writers’ Workshop, where he was a Truman Capote Fellow.
In 2008, Thirkield’s collection The Waker’s Corridor was selected by Linda Bierds for the Walt Whitman Award, presented by the Academy of American Poets. He is also the author of the collection Infinity Pool (University of Chicago Press, 2024). His poems have appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, Conjunctions, and other journals.
Thirkield teaches computational media and digital arts at Parsons School of Design, The New School, and Columbia University. He lives in New York.
