Idra Novey

Idra Novey is the author of several novels and poetry collections, including Soon & Wholly (Wesleyan University Press, 2024), Exit, Civilian (University of Georgia Press, 2012), selected for the National Poetry Series by Patricia Smith, and The Next Country (Alice James Books, 2008). With comparative literature professor Ahmad Nadalizadeh, she co-translated, Lean Against This Late Hour, poems by the Iranian poet Garous Abdolmalekian (Penguin, 2020).

Novey teaches in the creative writing program at Princeton University and lives in Brooklyn, New York, on Lenape land.
