Emmanuel Oppong-Yeboah

Born in 1993, Emmanuel Oppong-Yeboah is a Ghanaian American poet, editor, and educator living in Boston, Massachusetts. 

A finalist for both the Gold Line Press / Ricochet Editions Chapbook Competition and the 2019 Diode Editions’ Chapbook Prize, Oppong-Yeboah is the author of the chapbook not without small joys (Game Over Books, 2022). 

Oppong-Yeboah has served as a high school English teacher at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School and as a teaching artist at organizations such as the Massachusetts Literary Education and Performance (MassLEAP) Collective, Cambridge Arts Council, Northeastern University, and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston. They are also the school librarian at the Joseph Lee School in Dorchester. In 2025, they were appointed as Boston’s fourth poet laureate through 2029.
