On a landscape with heroes
The small takes to the field shaking its horns
A feeling breaks from the bush without warning
The spiced whine on its breath
Becomes a part of what we know
By the shed light of circumstance
Mean fortune seizes on the mind
Swimming in our skins

The things that ruled before we were
Have gone off with their wealth
Leaving a message of hands buried
Finger tips showing eyes that roll
In the ground at our approach

There is a thought that pushes continents around
It is an idea that occurred to us once too soon
And grew beyond our understanding
We tremble as we try to think it now

We walk with the word in this world
It makes a palace of where we are
It takes the ground from beneath our feet
