Bullets Still Don’t Have Names on Them

From various WIS-TV online news stories

Maybe it’s fireworks,
maybe it’s a gunshower
falling
like rain stuttering,
the screeching, the hauling,
pulling away from the pool:
shots remember being quiet.
Our city an epicenter.
Teens shoot
a delivery of bullets
in possession.
Teens arrested
Teens shooting
Teens getting shot.
A promise to a community:
Get involved,
answer the call
to mentor, to talk
to them, to walk
with them.
It’s time to work.
