Dear Jane Hirshfield from Diego

April 4, 2016

Dear Jane Hirshfield,

I read your poem, “Three Foxes by the Edge of the Field at Twilight.” I like how you stuck to the same poem because I liked what it was about. Other poets read their poems a little differently. I saw you read a poem on a video and liked how you read it both soft and loud.

Why did you pick the topic of foxes? Are foxes your favorite animal? I saw a dog that looked like a wolf that reminded me of your fox. The dog didn’t even move. Thank you for writing your poem.

Sincerely,

Diego
