Founded in 1984 by Charles Alexander, Chax Press is an independent publisher of books, chapbooks, and handmade letterpress books. Their mission is to increase the impact of new writing; Chax publishes soft-bound offset books as well as hand-printed limited editions that expand the art of the book. We also curate readings and other events to benefit the global community of writers and readers.
