Poets House is pleased to host an afternoon of exceptional poetry presented by Voices of Poetry. This event features the former Poet Laureate of Rhode Island, Tina Cane; the finalist for the Paterson Poetry Prize, Jennifer Franklin; the two-time winner of the Lambda Literary Award for poetry, Michael Klein; and recipient of the Witter Bynner Fellowship from the Library of Congress, Matthew Thorburn. Tina Cane – 2016 recipient of Fellowship Merit Award in Poetry from Rhode Island State Council on the Arts & former Poet Laureate of Rhode Island.
Jennifer Franklin – Finalist for 2024 Paterson Poetry Prize; Program Director of Hudson Valley Writers Center; & professor in MFA program at Manhattanville College.
Michael Klein – Two-time winner of Lambda Literary Award for poetry.
Matthew Thorburn – Finalist for Paterson Poetry Prize & recipient of Witter Bynner Fellowship from Library of Congress.
