Unfolded: Poetry Project is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2022. We provide free poetry workshops, host monthly open mics, and organize community-centered literary events throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
This month’s workshop, The Hidden Motif: The Animal Within, will be led by Ram Jam of Out in the 956.
What if the creatures we admire are not so different from ourselves? Participants will explore the “animal within” and transform instinct, emotion, and personal experience into poetry. Whether you identify with the quiet patience of a deer, the fierce heart of a lion, or the adaptability of a coyote, this workshop invites you to discover the hidden motifs that shape who you are.
We meet in person at McAllen Public Library, but the workshop is also offered in a hybrid format for those who would like to join remotely. The virtual access link is also available through the link in our Instagram bio at @unfoldedpoetryproject.
This workshop is free and open to poets, writers, artists, feelers, and thinkers of all ages.
