A Tribute to Poet Deborah Tall featuring Stephen Kuusisto, John D'Agata & David Weiss

Join poets David Weiss, Stephen Kuusisto, and lyric essayist John D’Agata for a reading and celebration of Deborah Tall. They will be reading from two newly published posthumous books by Tall: Afterings, a collection of poems, and From Where We Stand, a lyric memoir about living in the Finger Lakes region.

Deborah Tall taught writing and literature at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and edited the Seneca Review. She is the author of five books of poetry; the last, Afterings, was published posthumously. In prose, she published a memoir, The Island of the White Cow, about living in rural Ireland; From Where We Stand was reprinted in 2016 by S.U. Press. She lived in Ithaca with her husband David Weiss and with their two daughters, Zoe and Clea. She passed away in 2006.
