A community poetry workshop led by Carla Sameth, Altadena’s 2022–24 Co-Poet Laureate and an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow. Participants are invited to explore creative expression and reflection through generative writing exercises in a supportive environment. The workshop is part of the San Gabriel Valley Phoenix Poets initiative, which uses poetry as a tool for healing, resilience, and community rebuilding following the Eaton Fire.
The San Gabriel Valley Phoenix Poets project was founded by Raffi Joe Wartanian, Glendale’s inaugural Poet Laureate.
