#PoetryNearYou Pick of the Week: A Reading by elena minor & Paul Martínez-Pompa

Join elena minor and Paul Martínez-Pompa for a reading on Saturday, November 3, 2018, 7 p.m., at Woodland Pattern Bookcenter in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
 
elena minor is the author of TITULADA (Noemi Press, 2014), a book of bilingual poetry. Her work has been published in more than two dozen literary journals and anthologized in Angels of the Americlypse, BAX 2015, Coiled Serpent, and Resist Much, Obey Little. Most recently her work has appeared in Uproot, The Santa Ana River Review, Gulf Coast, and Hinchas de Poesía. She is the founding editor of PALABRA and teaches community-based creative writing to high school students.
 
Paul Martínez-Pompa was educated at the University of Chicago and at Indiana University. He is the author of My Kill Adore Him, which was selected by Martín Espada for the Andres Montoya Poetry Prize. His poetry and prose have been featured in Mandorla, Make Magazine, Breakbeat Poets: New American Poetry in the Age of Hip Hop, and on Chicago Public Radio. He currently edits for Packingtown Review and teaches rhetoric and creative writing at Triton College in River Grove, Illinois.
