About the poets:
A Guggenheim fellow, Terese Svoboda is the author of 19 books, including eight books of poetry. Forthcoming from Anhinga is Theatrix in 2021. Professor Harriman's Steam Air-Ship (Eyewear),was published in 2016. Anything That Burns You: A Portrait of Lola Ridge, Radical Poet came out in paper in 2018, and Great American Desert, a book of stories, appeared in 2019. Carolina Hospital is a poet, novelist, editor, and professor at Miami Dade College, and the recipient of three Endowed Teaching Chairs. Her books include the poetry collection Key West Nights and Other Aftershocks (Anhinga); The Child of Exile: A Poetry Memoir (Arte Público); the novel A Little Love, under the pen name C. C. Medina (Warner Books); and A Century of Cuban Writers in Florida (Pineapple Press). Individual works have appeared in numerous national publications, most recently The Norton Anthology of Latino Literature; Saw Palm (Cuba Issue), the anthology Raising Lilly Ledbetter: Women Occupy the Workplace; Bedford/St. Martin’s Florida Literature, and Longman’s Literature: An Introduction to Reading and Writing.
