Join us for Poesía en Abril, an annual multicultural, multidisciplinary festival celebrating local, national, and international poetry in Spanish. This year, poet, translator, and winner of a prestigious Xavier Villaurrutia Award David Huerta is featured. His collections include El Jardín de la luz and El correo de los Narvales, dedicated to the work of Pablo Neruda. Renowned Cuban-born poet and educator Maya Islas joins Huerta. Islas is a two-time finalist for the Letras de Oro Award, and her works in English and Spanish include Altazora Dos, Quemando Luces, Merla, and Altazora acompañando a Vicente.
