Pankake Poetry Reading with Margaret Hasse

The Pankake Poetry Series was named in honor of librarian Marcia Pankake, whose love of poetry was demonstrated in the countless readings and poetry events she hosted at the University Libraries until her retirement in 2007.

Margaret Hasse is a poet, teacher, and arts consultant, with a career spanning four decades in the Twin Cities. Her poetry, frequently featured on The Writer’s Almanac and in many publications, speaks intimately and resonantly about experiences in the everyday world, finding joy and revelation in what we often take for granted. She is the author of five collections of poems, Stars Above, Stars Below, In a Sheep’s Eye, Darling, Milk and Tides, Earth’s Appetite, and Between Us.
