Liz Howard, winner of the Griffin Poetry Prize in 2016, will discuss this sacred Anishinaabe (Ojibwe) rite and examine the use of ritual practice as a means to guide one’s work, sharing the ways this ceremony has informed her poetics. Co-presented with the Consulate General of Canada. Admission is $10, $7 for students and seniors, free for members. No one turned away for inability to pay. Poets House is an ADA-accessible facility.
