This poetry reading celebrates new works by poets Aimee Nezhukumatathil and Joseph O. Legaspi alongside those of their former mentees, Noel Quiñones and Grace Yanucci.
The evening will feature Aimee Nezhukumatathil’s “Night Owl,” a series of nocturnes that revel in the magic, sensuality, and vitality that emerge as the rest of the world goes to bed; Joseph O. Legaspi’s “Amphibian,” which examines queerness and immigration through the metaphor of “amphibious living”—adapting, surviving, and flourishing across changing geographies; Noel Quiñones’s debut collection, “Orange,” which traces the ripple effects of reconciling a lineage of masculinity and queerness while unearthing truth from within lies; and recent poems by Grace Yanucci.
Join us in celebrating these new works and the enduring tradition of mentorship in poetry. Copies of the featured books will be available for purchase.

The suggested donation for this event is $10. All donations benefit Poets House. You will be able to choose your contribution amount when you RSVP online or at the door. All are welcome; no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
