Mass Poetry: Disability Justice Event

Each March, members of the Poetry Coalition present programming across the country on a theme of social importance. From March through June 2022, the Poetry Coalition will explore the theme “The future lives in our bodies: Poetry & Disability Justice” in a series of programs in eleven cities that will reach more than 300,000 individuals nationwide.

Join us for an amazing evening of poetry that will include some of the area's most exciting voices: Colin Killick, Heather Watkins, Keith Jones, Lewis Morris, Rebecca Petchenik, Ryk McIntire, and Zeke Russell. We'll also be raising money for the Disability Policy Consortium, and issuing creative calls for action, encouraging attendees to join the fight in making the future inclusive and accessible for all.

Making sure our events are accessible is a top priority: GrubStreet's building, restrooms, and the event space are wheelchair accessible. There is a hearing loop available, and we will be using a mic and doing sound checks before the event for clarity. If you require closed captioning, ASL interpreters, or have other accessibility needs we might not have thought of, please reach out to [email protected]. We will do our best to accommodate any and all requests.

*Masks will be required. Please note: this event is capped at 50, so register today.
