For the fourth time, the largest poetry event in North America comes to New Jersey's largest city when the 30th Anniversary Geraldine R. Dodge Poetry Festival returns to Newark. For four days Newark's vibrant downtown Arts District will be transformed into a poetry village featuring some of our most celebrated, diverse and vibrant poets and spoken word artists.
This year, the Academy of American Poets has partnered up with Dodge to present its annual Poets Forum, a reading by our Chancellors and a series of conversations among the distinguished poets.
Featured Chancellors include Elizabeth Alexander, Mark Doty, Linda Gregerson, Juan Felipe Herrera, Brenda Hillman, Jane Hirshfield, Khaled Mattawa, Marilyn Nelson, Alicia Ostriker, Claudia Rankine, Alberto Ríos, Arthur Sze, and Anne Waldman.
