Celebrate National Poetry Month in the Gardens

THROUGHOUT THE MONTH OF APRIL: Walk the gardens to find poems related to nature. There is a map at the front desk of the Horticulture Center with the location of all the poems. Write and submit a poem to our PoetTree. It is the swamp oak tree outside the Horticulture Center on the grassy circle. Materials are at the tree. Relax and read poetry books in the Horticulture Center library. Also, in the library children’s corner is a haiku writing station. Perfect for kids! Purchase adult and children’s poetry books from the gift shop in the Horticulture Center.
