Black Lawrence Press is an independent publisher of contemporary poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction. They also publish the occasional translation from German. Founded in 2004, Black Lawrence became an imprint of Dzanc Books in 2008. Through annual contests and open reading periods, they seek innovative, electrifying, and thoroughly intoxicating manuscripts that ensnare themselves in our hearts and minds and won’t let go.
