In celebration of the Sealey Challenge, join Nicole Sealey for a four-part seminar on some of her go-to poems. Sealey will discuss some of the style and craft elements of works by acclaimed poets, including Yusef Komunyakaa, Brenda Shaughnessy, Tracy K. Smith, and Layli Long Soldier, among others. Participants will receive in-class writing prompts related to the poems discussed, as well as an exclusive post-Sealey Challenge reading guide featuring some of her favorite collections.
Class meets from 5:00–6:00 p.m. ET on Mondays, August 10, 17, 24, and 31. Syllabus and reading guide will be provided before the beginning of the course.

This live, virtual course is structured to encourage active participation. Registrants will receive Zoom upon purchase of the course and a day prior to each session. All recordings will be made available within forty-eight hours of a session. All recordings and class materials will remain available for sixty days after the final session
