Thea Matthews is a poet, author, and educator originally from San Francisco, California. Her work has appeared in or is forthcoming in Obsidian: Literature & Arts in the African Diaspora, Alta Journal, Epiphany magazine, On the Sea Wall, Southern Indiana Review, Tahoma Literary Review, The New Republic, Atlanta Review, the Rumpus, and others. She has an MFA in Poetry from New York University and lives in Brooklyn.
