In 2026, Moira Magneson was named an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellow. Moira Magneson’s “Wisdom of Watersheds” project will engage students at El Dorado County’s Mountainside Middle College High School in a months-long exploration of the Upper American and Cosumnes River watersheds through poetry workshops, guest speakers, field trips, and a student chapbook.
