Zeina Hashem Beck

Zeina Hashem Beck is a Lebanese poet and the author of several collections of poetry, including This Was Supposed to Be About Beauty (Penguin Books, 2027) and O (Penguin Books, 2022), winner of the George Ellenbogen Poetry Award. 

Among Hashem Beck’s other honors are the 2016 May Sarton New Hampshire Poetry Prize and the 2013 Backwaters Prize in Poetry from University of Nebraska Press. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
