Thomas Walsh
Thomas Walsh was a poet, translator, and critic, who sometimes translated Spanish poetry under the pseudonyms Garrett Strange and Roderick Gill. He wrote four books of poetry, including The Prison Ships (Boston, Sherman, French & Co., 1909) and Don Folquet (John Lane Co., 1920), and edited the Hispanic Anthology: Poems Translated from the Spanish by English and North American Poets (G. P. Putnam’s Sons, 1920), one of the earliest anthologies that included Latin American poetry translated into English. He died on October 29, 1928.
