Stacey Waite

Stacey Waite is a queer poet and the author of a real man would have a gun (University of New Mexico Press, 2025), a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award in LGBTQ+ Poetry; Teaching Queer: Radical Possibilities for Writing and Knowing (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2017); Butch Geography (Tupelo Press, 2013); and the lake has no saint (Tupelo Press, 2010), winner of the Snowbound Prize in Poetry. 

Waite is graduate chair and associate professor of English at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
