Sharan Strange
Sharan Strange, co-founder of the Dark Room Collective, is the author of Ash (Beacon Press, 2001), chosen by Sonia Sanchez for the Barnard Women Poets Prize.
Strange’s work has appeared in Black Imagination, edited by Natasha Marin (McSweeney’s, 2020) and Furious Flower: Seeding the Future of African American Poetry, edited by Joanne V. Gabbin and Lauren K. Alleyne (Triquarterly Books/Northwestern University Press, 2020).
Strange teaches at Spelman College in Atlanta, where she has been on the faculty of the English department since 2003.
