Rupi Kaur

Rupi Kaur is a Canadian poet, performer, illustrator, and photographer. She was born in Punjabi, India, in 1992. Her family immigrated to Toronto during her early childhood. She learned English by age ten and later studied rhetoric and professional writing at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario.

Kaur is the author of four poetry collections: Healing Through Words (Andrews McMeel Publishing, 2022); home body (Andrews McMeel Publishing, 2020); the sun and her flowers (Andrews McMeel Publishing, 2017); and milk and honey (Andrews McMeel Publishing, 2014), which she both illustrated and initially self-published. Her work has been translated into more than forty languages.

Outside of publishing, Kaur is the producer of Rupi Kaur Live, a first-of-its-kind poetry special that aired on Amazon Prime Video in 2021. She also served as an executive producer of the romantic drama This Place (2022).
