Rodney Saint-Éloi
Rodney Saint-Éloi is a Haitian-Canadian poet, writer, and essayist. He is the author of more than twenty books, including Fais du Feu [Make Fire] (Mémoire d’encrier, 2025); When It’s Sad, Bertha Sings (Québec America, 2020 / Héloïse D’Ormesson, 2022); and We Will Not Betray the Poem, and Other Collections (Points, 2021). In 2015, Saint-Éloi was initiated as a member of the Académie des lettres du Québec [Québec Academy of Letters], and in 2019 he was named a Compagnon de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres du Québec [Companion of the Québec Order of Arts and Letters]. He lives in Montreal.
