Rain Prud’homme-Cranford
Rain Prud’homme-Cranford is a queer, disabled Louisiana Creole poet, scholar, teacher, musician, and artist.
Alongside Maaliyah Papillion and Carolyn Dunn, Prud’homme-Cranford is the author of Singing the Tides Home: Poems in Call, Response, and Chorus (Bayous & Byways Books, 2024). She is also the lead author and editor of Louisiana Creole Peoplehood: Afro-Indigeneity and Community (University of Washington Press, 2022), and author of Miscegenation Round Dance: Poèmes Historiques (Mongrel Empire Press, 2021).
Prud’homme-Cranford is both an associate professor of English at the University of Calgary and the executive editor-publisher of That Painted Horse Press.
