Pierre Dupont
Pierre Dupont, born on April 23, 1821, in Lyon, France, was a songwriter and poet. With no theoretical background in music, he worked with French opera composer and music critic, Louis Étienne Ernest Reyer, to record his songs. Dupont’s best-known works include Le Braconnier, Le Tisserand, La Vache blanche, and La Chanson du blé. He died on July 25, 1870.
