Nikola Madzirov

Nikola Madzirov is a Macedonian poet from a family of refugees from the Balkan Wars. He is the author of Remnants of Another Age (Boa Editions, 2011). 

His poetry has been translated into more than forty languages. The recipient of the Hubert Burda European Poetry Award, the Miladinov Brothers Award, the N. C. Kaser Lyric Prize, and the Poetry and People International Poetry Prize, Madzirov has held residencies at the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa, Yaddo, and MacDowell. He lives in Strumica, North Macedonia.
