Niki Herd

Niki Herd is a poet, editor, and essayist. She earned a BA from the University of Arizona, an MFA from Antioch University, and a PhD in literature and creative writing from the University of Houston. 

Herd is the author of the book-length poem The Stuff of Hollywood (Copper Canyon Press, 2024) and the poetry collection The Language of Shedding Skin (Main Street Rag, 2011). She was coeditor, with Meg Day, of Laura Hershey: On the Life & Work of an American Master (Pleiades Press, 2019). 

A recipient of fellowships from MacDowell and the Ucross Foundation, Herd is currently a visiting writer in residence at Washington University in St. Louis.
