Maura Stanton

Maura Stanton earned her BA from the University of Minnesota and her MFA from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop. 

Stanton is the author of numerous poetry collections, including Immortal Sofa (University of Illinois Press, 2008) and Life Among the Trolls (Carnegie Mellon University Press, 1998), as well as several short story collections and a novel. 

Stanton is the recipient of fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts and the winner of both three Pushcart Prizes and the Yale Younger Poets Prize. She lives in Bloomington, Indiana.
