Mahealani Perez-Wendt is a Kanaka Maoli poet and the author of Uluhaimālama (Kuleana `Ōiwi Press, 2007). The recipient of the 1993 Elliot Cades Award for literature, she works as a community advocate and lives in Wailuanui, Ko`olau Moku, Maui Hikina, Hawaiʻi.
