Lucy Larcom

Lucy Larcom was born in 1824 and grew up in Beverly, Massachusetts. She taught at Wheaton Seminary from 1854 to 1862. She is the author of A New England Girlhood (Houghton Mifflin Company, 1889) and An Idyl of Work (James R. Osgood and Company, 1875), among other titles. She died in 1893.
