Louise Imogen Guiney

Louise Imogen Guiney was born in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 7, 1861. She was a poet, essayist, literary critic, and biographer. Within her lifetime, Guiney published nearly twenty books of poetry and prose, including Happy Ending (Houghton, Mifflin Company, 1909) and The Martyrs’ Idyl and Shorter Poems (Houghton, Mifflin Company, 1899). Guiney died on November 2, 1920.
