Leonard Chalmers-Hunt

Leonard Chalmers-Hunt was an English lawyer, reverend, and translator who was barrister-at-law at the The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in London. 

Chalmers-Hunt’s translations include Pervigilium Veneris (The Eve of St. Venus) and Other Latin Poems (Heath Cranton, 1930); The Odes of Horace (Simpkin, Marshall, Hamilton, 1925); and The “Khamriyyah” (Wine Song) of Umar Ibn al-Fārid and Other Arabic Poems (Simpkin, Marshall, Hamilton, Kent and Co., 1923). In 1933, he cofounded The Horatian Society.
