Lena Khalaf Tuffaha
Lena Khalaf Tuffaha is a Palestinian American poet. She is the author of Something About Living (University of Akron Press, 2024), winner of both the 2025 George Ellenbogen Poetry Award and the 2024 National Book Award in Poetry; Kaan and Her Sisters (Trio House Press, 2023); and Water & Salt (Red Hen Press, 2017). She earned her BA in comparative literature from the University of Washington, and her MFA in poetry from Pacific Lutheran University’s Rainier Writing Workshop. A two-time recipient of the Washington State Book Award, Tuffaha lives in Redmond, Washington.
