Laura Read is the author of four poetry collections, including The Serious World (BOA Editions, 2025) and But She Is Also Jane (University of Massachusetts Press, 2023), winner of the 2022 Juniper Prize for Poetry. She teaches English at Spokane Falls Community College and poetry in the MFA program at Eastern Washington University. Read lives in Spokane.
