Kim Stafford, a poet and essayist, is the author of As the Sky Begins to Change (Red Hen Press, 2024) and Singer Come from Afar (Red Hen Press, 2021). From 2018 to 2020, he served as the poet laureate of Oregon, where he currently resides.
