Ken Chen
Ken Chen earned a BA in English from the University of California, Berkeley, and a JD from Yale University.
Chen is the author of Juvenilia (Yale University Press, 2010), winner of the 2009 Yale Younger Poets Award selected by Louise Glück. Additionally, he has published work in numerous journals and online archives, including Poetry and the Boston Review of Books.
Chen served as the executive director of the Asian American Writers’ Workshop from 2008 to 2019 and was a Cullman Fellow at the New York Public Library. He cofounded the cultural website Arts & Letters Daily and CultureStrike, a national arts organization dedicated to migrant justice. He served as the editor-at-large for Astra, a magazine of international literature. He is currently a coeditor of the Spatial Species imprint for Coffee House Press and is both an assistant professor and the associate director of creative writing at Barnard College.
