Katherine Mansfield

Katherine Mansfield Beauchamp was born on October 14, 1888, in Wellington, New Zealand. She was a poet, essayist, short story writer, and journalist from the Modernist movement. Mansfield is the author of numerous prose and poetry collections, including Poems (Constable & Co., Ltd, 1923); The Garden Party (Alfred A. Knopf, 1922); and Bliss (Alfred A. Knopf, 1920).

Mansfield died on January 9, 1923, near Fontainebleau, France.
