Kate Daniels
Kate Daniels received her MFA from Columbia University. She is the author of six collections of poetry, including In the Months of My Son’s Recovery (LSU Press, 2019), Three Syllables Describing Addiction (Bull City Press, 2018), and The White Wave (Pitt Poetry Series, 1984), which received the Agnes Lynch Starrett Prize for Poetry. She has also edited collected works by Muriel Rukeyser and writings on Robert Bly. Among her honors are the Bunting Fellowship at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study, a Guggenheim Fellowship, two Best American Poetry selections, and election to the Fellowship of Southern Writers. Daniels is the Edwin Mims professor of English and directs the creative writing program at Vanderbilt University.
