K. A. Hays

K. A. Hays is the author of four poetry collections, all published by Carnegie Mellon University Press: Anthropocene Lullaby (2022); Windthrow (2017); Early Creatures, Native Gods (2012); and Dear Apocalypse (2009). Alongside Keith Waldrop, she is a co-translator of Before Wisdom: The Early Poems of Paul Verlaine (World Poetry Books, 2023). Hays received her BA in English from Bucknell University and her MFA in literary arts from Brown University. She is the recipient of fellowships from The Frost Place, Stadler Center for Poetry & Literary Arts, and Vermont Studio Center. An associate professor of creative writing at Bucknell University, Hays lives in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
